A Mistake We Made On Our RC Helicopter Blog

March 31, 2014 at 9:02 pm

I want to share a mistake that we did on our RC helicopter blog, so you don’t make the same mistake. You’re probably going to laugh and even say, ”This person is crazy.” Before, we even started blogging, we had somebody to tell us what to do and what not to do. So we were like ok, we got this! Needless to say, we didn’t know everything. We were excited about blogging and was ready to start writing. We wrote many blogs about different brands of electric RC helicopters that you could get in mini size to the outdoors.

Well, here is the part where we messed up on our RC helicopter blog. We thought you were supposed to only have so many blogs on the website, so we started deleting some of our old blogs. They didn’t tell us that it was supposed to be in there forever. Well, when I found out that we wasn’t suppose to erase them. At the time, I was mad because all that hard work putting into a blog.

It pays off to write your blogs down on paper, before actually publishing it. It’s also good to keep up with your blogs in a notebook or journal. We learned a valuable lesson from this, that you don’t just depend on  just your mind. It can fail you, especially when you don’t write things down on paper. We can laugh about it now and perhaps somebody else want make the same mistake on their blog, even if it’s not RC helicopter.

Using My RC Helicopter With Camera On The Farm

March 12, 2014 at 1:43 am

3-channel-big-metal-rc-helicopter-w-video-cameraToday, I decided to use my RC helicopter with camera to check the roof on the barn. A few weeks back we had a terrible wind storm. The storm left behind many damaged buildings in the surrounding area’s. So I got my big metal RC helicopter with camera out of the basement. I checked the helicopter to make sure it didn’t have any loose screws, before I began to fly it. So everything looked fine and I was ready to go check my barn out. The good thing about an RC helicopter is it comes in handy on the farm.

The 3 channel RC helicopter with camera lets you move it up/down, forward/backward, left or right. Once I started flying the helicopter above the barn, I started videoing over the top of it. You can get about 5-8 minutes of flying time. That gave me enough time to video the whole top of the barn. So when I got done, I took the memory card out of the helicopter. Then I could watch what I had recorded and allowed me to see what I needed to fix on the barn. It saved me time from not having to crawl on top and look around ever were.

What are some ways your RC helicopter with camera helped you out?

You can set up an obstacle course in a field or in a big back yard . The most popular items you can use in an obstacle course is old tires and wood that you can get from junkyards for free. The idea is to come up with things that you can fly through, pass around, and even land on things.
